The slimmest of posts today to ask if you’re planning a 100 Days Project…and to let you know what I’ve got planned as we stand at the edge of the season.
I am going to create 100 zettels—note + quotes on index cards to become the foundation of a zettelkasten. This is the sort of thing that could expand to fill all available space. But I am keeping things simple and approachable.
Simple supplies—I’ve got a stack of index cards on my desk ready to fill.
Clear definition—the cards are small, so I have to be selective. They are also easy to count, so I can track my progress.
Part of a larger project—creating a collection of quotes is a long term project of attention + the building of a habit. I am excited to use the 100 Days to jumpstart this work.
Not complicating things—I could wait till I had my organizing system refined or my tags settled. But I am moving forward with the work, confident that those things will be easier to do once I actually have a stack of cards to organize.
I’ve got more to say about the zettelkasten, but I wanted to connect with others who might have a project in the works…or who might need a nudge to hop on board!
Roben Marie’s tracker and encouragement are worth a look!
This sounds so cool! I cannot wait to see this project unfold. I recently saw a book called Book Marks, where the author (whose last name is Page!) did an art card for every book she read. Check it out: https://www.barbarapagestudio.com/book_marks_book.html
My 100 day project is publishing my novel, Her Lisbon Colors. I just realized that the pub date is 101 days from March 1st! So it truly is a 100 Day project.
